Significance of Maha Shivaratri
Maha Shivaratri commemorates the sacred night when Lord Shiva performed the Tandava, the cosmic dance of creation, preservation, and destruction. It is also believed to mark the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Observed on a no-moon night when the Sun is in Aquarius, this auspicious evening is said to be a time of heightened spiritual energy. Devotional prayers offered to Lord Shiva are believed to bring blessings and divine grace.
